The Wetaskiwin Air Show is proud to announce the following performers at the Wetaskiwin Air Show 2008.  An exceptional variety of performance types; quet and loud, slow and fast, single ship and formation, civilian and military, powered and powerless aircraft - see it all here!! 

Bud Granley & Ross Granley - www.hometown.aol.com

  • Flies three different and unique aircraft:    Fouga Magister Jet ~~ Yak-55 ~~ T-6 Harvard 
  • Ross Granley is a former Canadian Forces Snowbird pilot
  • Bud joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1956 after earning his wings with a Royal Canadian Air Cadet Scholarship
  • Art Scholl Showmanship Award Receipent (Top Award given by the International Council of Airshows)

  • Age 23
  • Flies the Giles G-200
  • 2006 B.F. Goodrich Award Recipient
  • Second Place in the Advanced U.S. National "Championships
  • Youngest Canadian Air Show Performer
     

 Kent Pietsch - www.pietschaircraft.com

  • Also known as the "Jelly Belly"
  • 1942 Interstate Cadet
  • "Dead Stick" routine (total power off)
  • Comedy Routine with extreme maneouvers
  • 2007 Art School Showmanship Award (Top Award given by the International Council of Airshows)

 When asked why he flies, Dan's usual smiling response is,

"I have to fly... I can't walk!"
  • Hang Glider
  • 1999 Bill Barber Award for Showmanship
  • Paralyzed in a hang glider accident in 1981
  • "one of the few performers who has been able to add magic to powerless flight, and he has done so through his ability as a showman ", says Dave Weiman, editor/publisher of World  Air Show News.

  • Trademarks - both inverted and knife edge ribbon cuts!!
  • Local (St. Albert) performer
  • One of Canada's "TOP" Air Show Veterans
  • Bill encourages youth to pursue a career in aviation if they share the love and enthusiasm for flyng that has alway been a part of his life.

Team Rocket - www.removebeforeflight.ca

  • A two-ship combination, with Eric Hansen in a F1 Rocket and Ken Fowler in the Harmon Rocket II
  • Ken and Eric have been performing together in formation for 5 years
  • As a team they are dynamic and fast.
  • The only team of this aircraft type, in the air show industry.
