Wetaskiwin Air Show Do's & Don'ts
DO:
Do carpool: Traffic flow into the museum will be easier if friends and family carpool.
Do travel eco-friendly: Use our new Park & Bike/Park & Walk system to get to the Air Show. Spectators are also encouraged to walk or carpool to our Park & Ride sites.
Do bring sunscreen: Shade on the grounds is limited. Take extra precautions with small children. Hats, umbrellas, and sunglasses are other recommended means of sun protection.
Do bring a camera and a pen: Many of the performers make themselves available for autographs and pictures during the show.
Do bring earplugs: Loud noises on the flight line can damage your ears. Hearing protection is recommended.
Do bring folding chairs: On-site bleacher seating will be limited. Visitors who will want to sit to watch longer demonstrations, especially children and elderly, will want to bring lightweight, portable seating to the show.
Do use handicapped parking: Handicapped parking will be available for vehicles with proper identification.
Do bring the whole family! Kids, friends and relatives ... this is a great family event with fun and excitement for all ages ... even if you don't like airplanes, there's lots more to see and do.
Do allow for sufficient time to park and/or getting to the show site. Expect minimal delays and adjust accordingly.
Do dispose of any garbage in the various containers located throughout the viewing areas. While the containers are routinely cleared, food remainders left on the grass attract birds, which become a safety concern for pilots and their aircraft.
DON'T
Don't use bicycles, roller-blades, or skateboards on-site to protect the safety of our spectators.
Don't bring fireworks, glass containers, or alcohol on-site. No alcohol is permitted on-site, except in our licensed Water Tower Club, where alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. For more information or to purchase tickets to our Water Tower Club, visit the ticketing page of our website.
Don't smoke on the grounds. Appropriate SMOKING AREAS will be designated.
Don’t bring weapons of any kind (guns, knives, etc) on-site.
All patrons may be subject to random search of any items brought on site; please accept these requirements; failure to do so will result in forfeit of entry and the immediate notification of Police. Thank you for your understanding and enjoy the show!
